Valentina Vongrad

PhD, CSO

Valentina, a specialist in immunotherapy, oncology, and drug development, has over 13 years of experience in immunotherapy across startups and academic institutions. She has a track record of developing and patenting immune- and gene therapies, contributing to the success of Redbiotec, which saw one of its divisions exit as RedVax.

As the mastermind behind FMC2, Valentina is instrumental in constructing FimmCyte’s pipeline to ensure ongoing success. Her innovative work has resulted in numerous patents to date, underlining her significant contributions to the field.

Cronin

MD-PhD, CMO

Maureen is a distinguished pharmaceutical expert with over 30 years of experience specializing in commercialization and business development within women’s health. Her impressive career includes roles as former VP of Women’s Health at Bayer and ex-VP Commercial at Vifor.

Maureen’s track record is marked by significant achievements, having successfully introduced multiple women’s health drugs to the global market. These products have not only gained worldwide regulatory approvals but have also generated billions in sales, underlining her expertise in bringing innovative treatments to women around the world.

Markus Kalousek

PhD, Chair

Dr. Markus Kalousek, Chairman of FimmCyte, brings over 25 years of pharma experience to the company. With a PhD in Oncology and Cancer Biology from ETH Zürich and nearly two decades at Novartis, latest as VP Partnering. Dr. Kalousek’s expertise spans R&D, business development, and drug innovation. His leadership at FimmCyte is instrumental in advancing the company’s goals in women’s health.

His extensive background in both biotech and large pharma, including roles at CSL and Novartis, Dr. Kalousek’s strategic insights and proven track record in developing innovative drugs are pivotal to FimmCyte’s efforts to address this underserved area of medical need.

Janine Vetter

PhD, Program Manager

Janine, holding a PhD in virology from the University of Zurich, brings broad expertise in molecular biology, immunology, virology, and oncology. With a diverse background spanning both startup (Redbiotec) environments and postdoctoral academia, she offers a unique mix of theoretical knowledge and practical experience.

Janine joined FimmCyte on a part-time basis in the first quarter of 2024, demonstrating her commitment to the company’s mission, which has paved the way for a full-time position in Q3 2024, further strengthening FimmCyte’s scientific team and potential for innovation in the field.
